Julian Dassai is an illustrator, cartoonist, and musician from Athens, Greece. Currently an Adjunct Instructor of Illustration at the Columbus College of Art and Design, Julian also has taught workshops in comic book writing and drawing for the Wexner Center for the Arts, The Billy Ireland Cartoon Research Library, Otterbein University, The Pomerene Center for the Arts, and Columbus Public Schools. He has worked in a variety of graphic arts, including magazine illustration, cartooning, and album design.

Between 2012 and 2016, Julian wrote and drew The Columbusonian, an interview comic featured in 614 Magazine, a local Columbus, Ohio publication. The cartoon featured snapshot interviews of a diverse array of Columbus residents, from street artists to the mayor of the city.

As guitarist for the band Nick Tolford & Company, Julian has shared stages with acts such as The Flaming Lips, Mavis Staples, and Booker T. and has recorded with national hip hop act Blueprint and underground rock band Andrew Graham & Swarming Branch. Julian currently lives in Columbus, Ohio.
